Our call to action has never been greater

In 2020, the US had 56 million people over the age of 65.

That number is expected to grow to 70 million by 2030. Similarly, in 2015, California had 7 million people over the age of 65 and that number is expected to grow to 12 million by 2030. This growth requires more senior services, facilities and qualified health care providers, as well as new solutions to fighting disease, isolation, and poverty among seniors who deserve the right to age with dignity.

TOGETHER, WE’RE MAKING A REAL DIFFERENCE IN COMMUNITY MEMBERS’ LIVES

Moving Beyond Grief

"When I joined the Grief and Loss Support Group five months ago, my grief was overwhelming. My husband has now been gone for almost a year, but after seven months with the group, I feel I am in control and ready for my life."

Holding On to Home

"A senior woman struggling with hoarding and the threat of eviction contacted us for help. Our team of SSG Certified Specialists collaborated across decluttering, legal, property management and other providers to clean and declutter her space, enroll in a support program, and extend her lease to help her remain in place, with a refreshed outlook on life."

Recovering from Credit Challenges

"A senior’s daughter contacted us after his application for a subsidized senior living community was denied due to poor credit. Our team of SSG Certified Specialists contacted the community and created a custom Smart Money Management course with a Certified Financial Planner. After successfully completing the course and providing a letter of verification from FSS, the community approved his application and welcomed him to his new home."
