Event Objective:  Los Angeles Community Clinic is a non-profit health service provider to the local under served, diverse community where economic, geographic, or cultural barriers limit access to affordable health care services. Clinic has reached a milestone in its development and is going to the next level: we have recently fully renovated our premises, are expanding our portfolio of services with mental health and pediatrics providers and are in a final stage of obtaining FQHC Look-Alike status – which will boost LACC upwards growth and secure the clinic’s bright future.

In order to publicly announce and celebrate this new significant steps in the trajectory of the clinic, LACC is planning a line-up of events and outreach initiatives to raise awareness of healthy living,  boost traffic of patients and increase enrollment.

OUR GOAL: Increase the steady flow of patience by 500-750 new patience per year

The below project proposal will focus on just one tactic of our strategic marketing plan, which will cover: Events, Outreach initiatives and Social Media.

About Us: LACC is community-based, patient-directed organization that delivers comprehensive, culturally competent, high-quality primary health care services to all.  We are about to become HRSA supported FQHC Look-Alike and we are in a process of expanding our portfolio of services with Pediatric, Mental and Dental services.

As a growing community clinic with first-rate premises, a professional, experienced, multilingual providers and staff we now serve about 10,000 patients per year and we have established relationships with all major IPAs, PIs, and other partners, associates and allays – most of them have already participated or sponsored our 1st Health and Harvest Fair on October 13 and are have confirmed a participation/support of the upcoming Health and Harvest Fair.

Also, as a Non-profit organization we are poised to create a conducive environment for our target local community – therefore we want to be not only a health institution but a resource center that fulfills different life essentials from wellness, housing, legal, artistic and last but not least -  entertainment.

Health Fair Event Serious Vision: LACC events are to promote, educate and inspire current and potential patients about healthy lifestyle, and the wellbeing of their families.

The event goalas part of the overall marketing strategy is to increase the traffic of patients by:

·         Raising awareness and position LACC as the GO-TO and TOP OF MIND clinic for the local community and other potential clients

·         Providing/offering information about the clinic, healthcare services and programs

·         Educating about preventative healthcare strategy & screenings, and other current topics like food, alternative medicine, disability, aging, etc.

·         Acknowledging our current patients for continuation of visits and promote our services to their friends and family as potential new clients

·         Celebrate a new FQHC Look A Like status and

·         Distribute branded gifts and giveaways in order to attract visitors/participants that are our future patients

Timing:  The fall season brings well-known family holidays like Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. This will give us a good reason to thematically center these events on these holidays

Our first event Health and Harvest fair already took place on October 13 and was inspired by Halloween. At the event we provided:  Free health screenings, fee food, DJ and Music, clown with balloons, Special Guest, and free Halloween costumes for 50 kids that created a great enthusiasm among parents.

We are happy to report that, despite the unpredictable rain, which definitely influenced a lower than expected turnout, LACC Heath and Harvest Fair:

·         Hosted 10 amazing exhibitors with LA Care and Blue Shields as event sponsors and

·         Attracted about 100 attendees (both grown-ups and children) – not bad for a start

We were able to accomplish what we planned for this  kickoff event – had flow of potential patients, made some good contacts and above all had fun, so we are very confident our next two health fairs will be more successful both for us and for you.

·         November 17th (inspired by Thanksgiving)

·         December  15th (inspired by Christmas)

LACC Heath and Harvest Fair is a Family Fair

Our goal for the upcoming Heath Fairs is to grow and diversify lineup of Exhibitors and upsurge a flow of visitors. We are planning to advance our social media efforts and boost our online presence especially on Facebook, Eventbrite and Instragram. So at the moment we are for Media Sponsor for the campaign geared towards the local community.

Event Venue: Event will take place in the Parking Lot attached to the LACC Building. As the event will occur on Saturday, when this site will be vacant. Organizers intend to clearly mark the event by branded dividers to visually accentuate the main entrance with branded port and balloons.

Target groups: Current and future community clinic patients (mostly Hispanic, Medical or no insurance). We are targeting neighbors, parents with kids, young couples, singles, and older people, disabled who are interested in learning about health issues. All welcome but considering the location it can be expected participants will be mostly ethnic Hispanics (80%), African Americans (10%), Russians and Armenians (5%) and Korean (2%).

Description of the Program:  November event/program will be inspired by Thanksgiving and will consist of different educational displays that will engage both kids, parents and older people to have fun, explore, learn and enroll as patients. LACC will offer a free Turkey for first 50 patients that register with our clinic.

These are the proposed free services LACC can offer at the fair:

·         Free pregnancy test (enrolled in family pact)

·         Free Condoms

·         STD screening for qualified

·         Free blood pressure cheek and glucose test

·         Consultation with nutritionist  (free nutrition bar for every visit)
